Batting Cage - 12'H x 10'W x 24'L (add increments available in 12' lengths)
I have enjoyed batting cages for
years. Several years ago my son was
playing on a select team whose home field was constructed in the empty field
next to the coach’s church. We
started with nothing but a fence and built a grass infield, pitcher’s mound and
installed a home plate. It was a
great place to play ball and it was always available to us except when there was
a church service occurring. The
second year at the facility we decided to upgrade it a little and we added a
batting cage. We did not know what
we were looking for and decided to purchase a hitting cage (this very unit) from a company in our
town. We had a tight budget so we were looking for something affordable that would more or less fit in the space of a backyard. We
wanted the hitting cage to be at least 48’ long (the boys were 11) with the
ability to add to it later if we wanted to.
The unit
showed up and we had a team practice where we asked all the dads to come to the
ballpark to help set the batting cage up.
A handful of dads showed and we attached the poles, assembled it in about
an hour and had the net up by the time practice was finished for the boys. It was easy to setup, affordable and has
lasted now for 4 years (I drove past it not long ago). My son no longer plays for that
team but I remember what a great benefit it was for us to have that baseball batting cage and to be
able to hit in it any time we wanted to.
We would drive up and use it most any evening a game was not being played
at the park. He got much better and
the team improved because we were able to have a constant hitting session going
throughout baseball practice and extended BP before games. It was great.
This unit is
the one we installed. I used the memory of selecting and installing this batting cage to select the cage for BaseballSkillAids to offer. I wanted to offer affordable backyard batting cages in lengths from 24' to 72'. The idea is that with these batting cages, every family can have one in their backyard. Here are its
features:
· Expandable in 12’
increments, from 24’-72’ - simply add on at any time
· Easy to
setup
· 1” square netting
allows for wiffle balls and smaller wiffle golf balls to be used
· Net is durable enough
to last for years (we have some pretty bad weather in the Midwest)
· Wind resistant unit
will not tip over in high winds
· Attractive pole
configuration
· Wow factor from your
neighbors and their kids (only down side is all the drinks you’ll be serving to
the local group of kids as they hang out in your backyard!)
· Most players with
batting cages get much better at hitting because they get more swings than
anyone else
· You will love being
able to work with your son or daughter without having to drive to the park. The
hitting cage is always ready to go!
· Works as well as a
softball batting cage
I have used
and recommend this batting cage. Feel free to call or e-mail us with any
questions you have. We are here to
help!
Thanks,
